Don't settle for anyone less than a "COLLEGE EDUCATED TEACHER" with a valid Education Degree and to teach you how to drive! We are one of the State of Florida's longest-established and most respected driving schools...since 1992!
Florida West Coast Driving School instructors are currently teachers and coaches employed by our local public schools with bachelor's and master's degrees in education and certified in driver education. We are, therefore, confident that our teaching approach is relevant, relatable, and professional.
TEEN DRIVING FACTS
Professional driving lessons reduce teen crashes and tickets. Teens who complete driver education are up to:
75% less likely to get a traffic ticket
24% less likely to be involved in a serious crash in their first years on the road.
History
Florida West Coast Driving School was started on a summer day in 1992 when a parent of a High School driver education student asked their son's teacher for a private driving lesson. The parent was having difficulty because there was "too much friction" in the car while trying to teach the student how to drive. That day, our founder, John Bolen, discovered that he could teach students more effectively by using techniques, although raw at that time, but since refined into a copywritten curriculum used by numerous school districts in the state of Florida and other commercial driving schools across the United States. That summer day has grown into a 26-car operation that serves many school districts' driver education needs and countless individuals in Florida and across the USA to drive safely and confidently for their entire lives.

Testimonials
Gissel Reyes: "They were so good!! I was really nervous about doing the test and not being able to have my dad with me but they helped me feel calm and relaxed. They were very clear with directions and always clarified whenever I felt confused. Such a good experience and I recommend for everyone to take their road test here rather than anywhere else, they also don't have super long lines like the DMW does. 10/10 experience!"
Noah Bailey: "I took the driver ed class over the summer, and it completely changed my idea of driving. From reshaping my definition of "right-of-way" to learning how to parallel park, I learned so much in the six days of the class."
Jill King: "Great service, very knowledgeable, no stress experience, much easier than the DMV!"
Kenechi Oguejiofo: "I had a great experience at my road test. Even though I have driving experience from my home country, I arrived anxious because being graded can be quite nerve-wracking. My examiner was super nice and made me feel at ease, so the test was a success. I totally recommend them to do the road test!"
Patty Terech: "This driving school was amazing! I have been trying to teach my son for two years and just was not comfortable. A few lessons, and my son passed the test yesterday. It was nice to know that his instructor was a teacher from his HS that we knew. They gave me the peace of mind that I needed! I strongly recommend."
Deanne Albury:" Great people, great place to help your child feel more comfortable about the whole process of driving!"
Aliona Saphonova:"I just took a road test over there. It was fast a smooth: no tricky questions. If you know how to drive you should be able to pass. My instructor was very nice and willing to explain anything I was not able to understand"
Cooper LaConte:"Amazing experience and great driving instructors. Would recommend to everyone who needs it."
Ella S:"Best lessons for driving; everyone is SO nice here and they made the test feel very comfortable. Come here for any lessons or tests!!!"
